Change user account email
- Click your account profile in the top right corner and then select "Account" from the drop-down menu.
- Scroll down to "Account email" and enter the new email address for your user.
- Scroll down and press the "Save" button to verify the changes.
- Login to your new email address and click the verification email to validate your new address.
Add two-factor authentication
By setting up two-factor authentication (2FA), you add an extra layer of security to your Goget Owner/Admin account sign-in. For example, after entering your password, you will be prompted to enter a dynamically generated verification code provided by an authenticator app.
This feature is only available for Owner/Admin account roles. For regular member roles, we recommend using Single Sign-On (SSO) with Google or Microsoft 365, both of which support MFA.
Enable 2FA:
Follow these steps to enable:
- Click your account profile in the top right corner and then select "Account" from the drop-down menu.
- Scroll down to "Two-factor authentication" and press the "Enable" button.
- Reauthenticate by entering your password.
- Select "Use Google Authenticator App", then open the app on your smartphone.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to add Goget to the authenticator app.
- Once 2FA is enabled, add a secondary email for recovery purposes.
Note: Without a secondary email, you will not be able to access your account if your 2FA device is lost, unless you contact Goget support.
Disable 2FA:
Follow these steps to disable:
- Click your account profile in the top right corner and then select "Account" from the drop-down menu.
- Scroll down to "Two-factor authentication" and press the "Disable" button.
- Open the Google Authenticator App on your smartphone and enter the code.
- Verify that you want to disable 2FA.
Add your profile picture
- Click your account profile in the top right corner and then select "Account" from the drop-down menu.
- Scroll down to "Profile picture" and press the camera icon.
- Select your new profile image and press "Update" button.
